The short version
- Nvidia launched new open-weight models on Thursday designed for always-on agents and edge computing.
- The Nemotron 3.5 Super VL is a 120-billion-parameter model aimed at enterprise agents.
- Nvidia also launched two lightweight Bolt models meant to run locally on AI PCs and DGX Spark workstations.
- Super VL and Bolt 74B-A9B are available now, and Bolt E4B is coming later this month.
Why it matters
Nvidia is pushing open models that companies can post-train on their own data and run on their own infrastructure. For developers, the local Bolt models show a push to run agents on personal machines instead of the cloud.
“Unlike closed frontier models, organizations can post-train Super VL on their own data, deploy it on their own infrastructure and own what they build”
